Athletics - Cleveland Cluster PIL Sports

There are a number of opportunities to participate in sports for our Sellwood students.  

The PPS middle grades (6th - 8th) youth sports program will be directed by the Portland Interscholastic League (PIL).  The student/athletes will represent their neighborhood high school cluster. The cluster each athlete participates in is determined by address.  

 FALL SPORTS OFFERED (Begins Late August) : Football, Volleyball, Cross Country

WINTER SPORTS OFFERED (Begins Late October/Early November): Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Wrestling

SPRING SPORTS OFFERED (Begins Early March):  Track & Field, Baseball

For the most current information, please contact PIL Sports through the district website or you can call Cleveland High School, Athletic Director, or Tim Biamont at our PPS District Athletic Department.  Our PE Teacher, Mr. O'Neill, is also a good source for information.  

Please note:  All registrations, sports physicals, meeting/practice dates and competition dates are coordinated through PIL Sports, not the Sellwood school office.  Once your child is on a team, you'll receive the coach's contact information for pertinent dates, times, etc.
